Before you begin
Choose a small pilot topic, the people responsible for it, and whether the first knowledgebase should be public or private. Start private while content is still being checked.
First-day setup
Open Settings and confirm Company information and the public Reader address.
Create one private pilot knowledgebase with a clear name and description.
Create five to seven categories based on Reader goals.
Open People & Access and invite at least one Editor and one Reader.
Configure the Brand kit and preview the Reader Portal.
Create and publish one representative article.
Open the Reader Portal using a Reader account or private window and verify access, navigation, search, and article display.
A successful pilot
The pilot has named owners, a small category structure, representative published content, and a Reader route that behaves correctly for people without authoring access.
