Before you begin
Any workspace member can view their own notifications. Owner or Admin is required to configure learning rollouts. Reminder delivery depends on the assignment rules and the environment’s delivery services.
1. Read and follow up on notifications
Choose Notifications in the workspace top bar. Read the title, message, and date to understand what happened.
Choose View on the relevant update to open its destination. Check the current article or assignment state there; a historical notification is not a live status display.
Choose Mark read after reviewing an item, or Mark all as read when you have checked the inbox. Read status does not approve an article, complete learning, or dismiss the underlying task.
2. Set learning reminders before launch
As an Owner or Admin, open Learning Studio → Delivery and start the rollout for the intended published journey.
At Set timing and rules, check Available from and Due date. Set Reminder cadence to None, Daily, or Weekly, and check Send reminders only when reminders are wanted.
Decide whether to Allow reminder opt-out. Review the audience and timing before launching; preview does not send notifications. Do not launch a rollout just to test its settings.
3. Handle missing or unwanted reminders
Learners should open their assignment and check its current due date and completion status before treating an older reminder as current.
Where the assigned-learning page offers Turn reminders off or Turn reminders on, use it for that assignment. These controls appear only when the assignment permits opt-out.
Ask an Admin to investigate repeated or missing reminders with the assignment title and approximate time. In-app and email delivery can differ; a notification does not prove an email arrived.
Check your result
Your inbox reflects what you have reviewed, and learning reminder expectations match the rollout’s rules.
If something goes wrong
No opt-out control: the assignment may require reminders, be finished, or be shown in a view without that control. Ask the rollout owner rather than assuming a global preference exists.
No reminder email: check spam and the expected account, then ask your Admin to check delivery. In-app delivery may succeed while email is unavailable.
A link no longer opens: permissions, publication, or the assignment may have changed since the notification was created.
You marked a message read but the task remains: read status and task completion are separate. Open the task and complete its required action.
