Before you begin
Owner or Admin, a destination knowledgebase, and permission to read the source. The provider must be enabled in your environment and subscription.
1. Connect and select content
Open Settings → Integrations → Knowledge sources → Google Drive. Choose Connect Google Drive, or Open connection to continue an existing connection.
In Connect, choose the Destination knowledgebase and authorise the intended Google account. Connecting alone does not import files.
In Choose folders, add each Google Drive folder link or ID with Add folder and include the intended folders. Subfolders are not traversed; add each folder separately.
In Preview, preview every selected folder and review the conversion warnings. Continue paginated previews until each folder is complete.
In Import drafts, confirm the destination and conversion limits. Choose Import next batch. Imports run in batches of up to 25 documents per folder; continue remaining batches and inspect failures before retrying.
2. Review before publishing
Open Review imported drafts or Integrations → Needs review. Check text, images, links, source restrictions, and the intended audience before approving the import for Beetl. Approval is separate from publication in Content Manager.
Check the source/ownership setting before editing imported material. Keep externally managed content aligned with its source; use a detached local copy when local ownership is intended.
Publish only after the content and audience have been checked. Test the Reader article with the intended access.
3. Pause, disconnect, or reconnect
Open the Google Drive service’s Connection settings to inspect sources, sync history, and Recent jobs. Use Pause to stop processing temporarily and Resume when ready.
To end the connection, choose Disconnect securely. This queues a background job. Check Recent jobs for a successful disconnect and confirm the connection shows DISABLED; clicking the button alone does not mean the worker has finished.
Use Reconnect Google Drive in the guided connection stage, or choose the intended destination in Connection settings and use Connect Google Drive. Check source selections and previews again before importing.
After reconnecting, check each source selection again, preview the intended folders, then queue a small sync. Disconnecting or a source deletion does not silently remove an already published Beetl article.
Check your result
Only selected content is imported, and publication remains a deliberate editorial decision.
If something goes wrong
Setup required or disabled button: ask Beetl support to check provider readiness and subscription access.
Missing documents: check the selected source, source-account permissions, preview warnings, and supported file types.
Failed sync: inspect the connector error and history before queuing another run; avoid repeatedly reconnecting without diagnosing the error.
A disconnect remains queued: ask Beetl support to check the scheduled connector worker. If provider access must end immediately, your provider administrator can revoke the application grant while Beetl completes local cleanup.
