Before you begin
Owner, Admin, or Editor with access to the relevant learning content. A learner must have submitted an answer or activity that requires review. Agree the evidence standard before deciding.
1. Open the correct review queue
Open Learning Studio → Responses and choose Assigned learning review. A Learner evidence needs review link on the Learning Studio overview opens the same destination.
Use Manual answer review for answers awaiting manual marking, and Activity submission review for submitted practical activities and evidence.
Article submissions is a separate source. An article form response does not become an assigned journey submission merely because the same form appears in both places.
2. Inspect the evidence before deciding
Check the learner, activity, prompt, and submitted answers against your agreed standard. Read all response fields rather than relying on a submission title.
Where Download submitted evidence is available, open the submitted file only if you are authorised to review it. Check structured answers and any signature evidence required by the activity.
If the evidence is unclear or incomplete, establish what the learner needs to correct. Do not approve solely to remove an item from the queue.
3. Record the decision and check progress
Enter a useful Review rationale explaining the evidence and decision. Choose Approve when the submission meets the standard, or Reject when it does not.
Confirm the action succeeds. A stale or already reviewed item should be reloaded rather than repeatedly submitted.
Check the learner’s journey Results or Delivery record. Approval may satisfy that activity, but the learner still needs to complete other required steps and pass conditions.
Check your result
The pending item has a recorded review decision and the learner’s progress reflects that decision alongside the other completion requirements.
If something goes wrong
Queue is empty: verify Assigned learning review is selected, the activity requires review, and the learner actually submitted rather than saved or previewed it.
An item or evidence file is unavailable: check your authoring scope and workspace access with an Admin. Do not copy evidence into a public article to work around access.
Review fails: provide a meaningful rationale, reload to check for another reviewer’s decision, and retry only if the item remains pending.
Approved but not complete: inspect remaining required activities, reading steps, assessment outcomes, and prerequisites.
