Admin / Editor · Allow about 7 minutes
Before you begin
Owner, Admin or Editor with assigned content. Scheduled maintenance is separate from optional editorial approval and from reviewing learner submissions.
1. Open your authoring queue
Open Content Manager → Assigned to me, or use View overdue work on Home.
Start with overdue work, then upcoming reviews and drafts. Check the article, knowledgebase, owner and due date before opening it.
If your queue is empty, confirm the active workspace and ask an Admin to check article ownership and review settings. Reader My work tracks learning assignments, not this authoring queue.
2. Check the article against its source
Open the article and compare instructions, links and screenshots with the current product or approved source. Check the intended audience and the current published version.
Use article properties to confirm the responsible owner, review interval or next review date. Open Needs review when using the scheduled-review queue; it includes overdue and upcoming work within the next seven days.
Use the review outcome controls offered for that item and set the next review date deliberately. If edits are needed, save them as the working draft and resolve persistent save errors.
3. Close the loop
Republish changed content when it is ready so Readers receive the reviewed version. An optional editorial review may help your team but does not gate authoring-role publication.
Return to the queue and confirm the due date and review state changed as intended. Reassign ownership through the normal article settings if another person must take responsibility.
For a learner response awaiting approval, use Learning Studio’s review workflow instead. Updating an article review date does not approve learner evidence.
Check your result
The article has a responsible owner, an accurate next review date and, when needed, an updated live publication.
If something goes wrong
Overdue item remains: confirm the review outcome and due date were saved, then refresh the queue.
You can see a draft but Readers cannot: check whether the reviewed working copy has been published.
Wrong review queue: distinguish content maintenance, optional editorial review and learner evidence before taking action.
