Before you begin
Editor, Admin, or Owner. Create the tool in Learning Studio and publish the version readers should use. Assigned Guided Journeys record journey completion. Assessments with Article placement save separate article results. Supported article forms collect optional responses; direct standalone pages are unsaved previews.
1. Insert the existing tool
For a scored assessment inside the article, first choose Article in the assessment wizard’s Placement stage, select this article, save and publish the assessment. Inserting a reference alone does not configure Article placement.
Open the article for editing and place the cursor where the action belongs.
Open the editor’s command menu and choose Insert learning tool.
Use Search learning tools to find the tool by name. Check its type and status, then select it.
Add a short sentence before the tool explaining what to complete and why.
2. Verify the Reader experience
Preview the article, publish it, and test the tool from the Reader article with the intended access.
Assessments configured for Article placement save separate article results. Supported reusable forms can collect optional article responses; they do not complete a Guided Journey. Review records in Learning Studio → Responses.
On eligible public articles, supported assessments and forms can accept responses without an account. Acknowledgements require identity and consent; typed signatures require identity, a signature, and separate consent. Ordinary forms may allow anonymous responses. Entered details are self-declared, not verified account identity.
Forms with file-upload fields and draw-only signatures are not supported by the public article response UI. Use a signed-in assigned journey for formal learner evidence. Direct standalone tool pages remain unsaved previews.
Check your result
The article contains the intended published tool. Supported embedded forms and configured article assessments save separate article responses or results; these do not complete assigned Guided Journey activities.
If something goes wrong
No tools available: create a tool in Learning Studio first.
A draft tool is not ready for readers. Publish the tool as well as the article.
Wrong activity opens: check the selected tool’s name and type, replace the reference, and republish.
