Before you begin
Editor, Admin, or Owner. Write one sentence describing what people should be able to do and decide whether you need optional feedback, a scored result, or assigned learner completion.
1. Start with the outcome
Use an article when people need instructions or reference material. Add an optional article form when you need a response at that point in the reading.
Use an assessment to check understanding with questions, scoring, pass thresholds, and attempt rules. Configure its placement for the context where it will run.
Use a Guided Journey when the outcome needs an ordered sequence of published articles and activities. Mark only essential steps Required.
Use a compatible SCORM package for externally authored interactive learning. Confirm package support and test the actual content before making it part of a customer workflow.
2. Decide which record you need
For an optional article response, embed a supported published form or an assessment with Article placement. Check the separate response or result from the article.
For formal assigned completion, publish a Guided Journey and have an Owner or Admin create a rollout. Learners must use their authorised signed-in assignment.
For signatures or acknowledgements, decide what identity and consent are required. Self-declared public contact details are not equivalent to verified account identity.
SCORM progress uses a separate package and user registration. It does not automatically count toward Guided Journey completion.
Direct standalone assessment and form pages are unsaved previews. Simple inline practice checks and acknowledgements keep only local page state.
3. Test one complete path
Publish the necessary articles and tool versions, then preview the intended reading and activity order.
For a journey, have an Owner or Admin approve and publish the revision, then assign it through Delivery when a rollout is needed.
Test with the intended Reader access. Verify the saved record in Responses, the relevant assessment records, or journey Results instead of relying only on the completion screen.
Check reviewer approval requirements for evidence or sign-off. A submitted item can still be awaiting review rather than complete.
Check your result
You have chosen a format and a test that verifies the exact response or completion record your task needs.
If something goes wrong
A standalone activity appears complete but no record exists: use the supported live article placement or an authorised learner assignment.
A submitted activity does not complete a journey: check required steps, prerequisites, and reviewer approval.
A public form cannot accept the required evidence: use an assigned signed-in journey for unsupported public file-upload or draw-only signature requirements.
