Before you begin
Owner or Admin. Decide whether the content is safe for public access or requires a private portal supported by your plan.
1. Create the collection
Open Content Manager → New → Knowledgebase. Owners and Admins can create knowledgebases.
Enter Name and check the generated URL slug. Use lowercase letters, numbers, and hyphens.
Write a short Description that tells readers what the collection covers.
Choose Private for signed-in member access or Public for published content that can be read without signing in.
Choose Create knowledgebase.
2. Make it useful
Add categories based on reader tasks, then create or import a small set of articles.
Open the knowledgebase’s settings to review its details, access, and Reader presentation.
Configure the workspace Brand kit, publish your first checked article, and open the Reader portal.
Test the intended access with a Reader account and a separate signed-out browser session.
3. Maintain the collection
Review content ownership and the audience regularly. Before changing an address or visibility, consider existing links and who will gain access. Before archiving, check the effect on readers and learning journeys. Archiving is separate from deleting content.
Check your result
The knowledgebase has a stable address, an intentional audience, and at least one tested Reader article.
If something goes wrong
Private unavailable: check your plan; do not publish private content in a public collection as a workaround.
Slug rejected: check its format and whether it already exists.
Empty Reader portal: create and publish an article, then verify visibility and access.
